Question: When you are filling up your tub in readiness for a bath, do you initially just turn on the hot tap, then add some cold water at a later stage, or do you turn both taps on at the very start of the operation?

recipe for my perfect bath.
one deep iron bath.
run hot tap...15 mins.( it is very slow )
bit of cold.
gin and tonic and a book.
top up ( on both ) when required.

Be careful not to drop the book in the bath.

I wonder what it would be like to bathe in gin and tonic.

I think it would be sticky.

(run hot water till hot than find ideal temperature)

Met a girl once who when showering would get in straight away before the water had heated up! Crazy. a) brrrr cold; b) potential burns whilst getting water temperature right.

She also used to like eating raw sausage meat (bite end off and suck out of casing) - so I pay her opinions no mind.

Both at the start. Muscle memory ensures I always turn them to the perfect amount on the first attempt. Not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing.

1. Hot first, not much cold at all.
2. Hop in and get 'pinkified'.
3. Tune out world and engage in lengthy soak.

In hot weather, reverse hot and cold and apply as per step 1.
